A suspect has been arrested in connection with the tragic killing of a pregnant Brazilian woman and two men in Lisbon. The incident, which occurred on September 20, has shocked the local community and raised concerns about safety in the area.

On September 20, 2024, Fernanda Júlia, a Brazilian national, and her husband, Bruno Neto, were shot dead outside a barber shop in Bairro do Vale, Penha de França, Lisbon. They had stopped to greet their Carlos Pina, a barber, who was also killed in the attack. The police described the motive for the crime as “futile,” stemming from a personal dispute between the shooter and the barber.

According to reports, the suspect, identified as Fernando Silva, knew the victims and a seemingly trivial disagreement escalated into a violent confrontation that resulted in three fatalities.

Police have been working tirelessly to gather evidence and locate the suspect. Silva was apprehended in the area known as ‘margem sul,’ south of Lisbon. Following his arrest, he will face initial questioning by a magistrate, who will determine whether he will be remanded in custody or granted bail.

The brutal nature of the crime has left the local community in shock. Many residents expressed their disbelief that such violence could occur in their neighborhood. Community leaders are calling for increased safety measures and support for the families affected by this tragedy.
