St. Paul’s School Kicks Off Academic Year with 300 Students and Ambitious Expansion Plans

St. Paul’s School in Coimbra is set to begin its eighth academic year on September 13, marked by a ceremony that will bring together students, staff, and administration. With a significant 20% growth from the previous year, the school now boasts over 300 students, ranging from nursery to high school.

Enrollment and Expansion

This year, St. Paul’s School has welcomed 70 new students and opened new classes, including continuing high school education with 10th and 11th grades. To support this growth, the school plans to expand its facilities, with a tender open for expansion works aimed at increasing capacity and reducing waiting lists.

With a multicultural community comprising students from over 30 nationalities, St. Paul’s School fosters a bilingual education in Portuguese and English, enhancing its cosmopolitan environment. While most students are Portuguese, the school also welcomes students from Europe, America, Asia, Africa, and Oceania.

The theme for this year’s Annual Activity Plan is “Worldwide Art and Music,” reflecting cultural diversity and the appreciation of arts and music as universal expressions. This theme will be evident in the school’s decorations, activities, and annual events, promoting integration and a multicultural spirit.
