OGMA, a member of the Embraer Group, has made history by becoming the first authorized heavy maintenance center for the E-Jets E2 aircraft in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region. This significant achievement was announced during the global Embraer Operators Conference held in Lisbon, Portugal, marking a pivotal moment for both OGMA and Embraer in expanding their operational capabilities in commercial aviation.

Johann Bordais, President & CEO of Embraer Services and Support, emphasized the strategic significance of this certification, stating that it reinforces Embraer’s commitment to Portugal as a leading technological partner in the aeronautical industry. He expressed confidence that this achievement would enhance OGMA’s international recognition in aircraft maintenance, particularly for the E2 aircraft.

Alexandre Solis, CEO of OGMA, expressed pride in reaching this milestone, attributing it to the hard work of the team. He noted that being the first Embraer Authorized Maintenance Center for the E2 in the EMEA region is a vital credential in the competitive international aviation market. Solis highlighted that this is just the beginning of a significant growth cycle for the company.

OGMA has a long-standing history in aircraft maintenance, having been an Embraer Authorized Maintenance Center since 1998 for the ERJ 135, ERJ 140, and ERJ 145 regional jets. The company has conducted over 300 C-Checks and has supported the E-Jets family since 2007, performing more than 50 C-Checks on these aircraft. This extensive experience will be leveraged for the E-Jets E2 family, ensuring high-quality service and support.
