Bathing season begins with improvements in Fuseta

Published on

This week, Mayor António Miguel Pina of Olhão inaugurated the newly renovated children’s playground in the Fuseta riverside area and reviewed the improvements at Fuseta Mar island beach. The revamped playground now features a large pirate ship, swings, a seesaw, animal-shaped springs, and additional shade sails.

Fuseta Mar beach, which featured in the German TV detective series, Lost in Fuseta, has also been enhanced with municipal maintenance and sand replacement to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for residents and visitors. These projects, aimed at enhancing local amenities, cost the municipality approximately €350,000.

“These improvements, even without spending millions, make a difference in people’s lives. Now, the children of Fuseta have a playground with all the facilities for their games and Fuseta Island has exceptional conditions for everyone to enjoy this summer to the fullest,” said Mayor António Miguel Pina.
