Wine in Azores: A Celebration of Local Flavors and Fine Wines

The Wine in Azores event is back on the island of São Miguel from today, promising a weekend filled with exquisite wines, gourmet food, and culinary showcases. Taking place from November 1 to 3 in Rabo de Peixe, this festival is touted as the largest and best business event in the archipelago, attracting wine lovers and food enthusiasts alike.

The event kicks off on Friday, November 1, with an open tasting session from 4 PM to 10 PM. The following days, Saturday and Sunday, will feature tastings from 3 PM to 9 PM. After the tasting sessions, the festivities will continue in the dining and bar areas, with wine sales and DJ performances until midnight.

In 2023, the Wine in Azores event attracted over 20,000 visitors and featured more than 200 exhibitors, marking it as a significant highlight in the region’s event calendar. The organizers emphasize the event’s role as a premier platform for showcasing the best of national and regional production, reflecting the continuous effort to promote local wines and culinary arts.
