Tragic Stabbing Near Colombo Mall in Lisbon Claims Life of Local Man

A man in his fifties tragically died after being stabbed near the Colombo shopping center in Lisbon. The incident occurred on Wednesday, and the victim was found with a serious injury to his groin area. Despite immediate medical attention, he succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.

The stabbing took place on Avenida do Colégio Militar, close to the popular Centro Comercial Colombo. Emergency services were alerted, and the victim was quickly transported to Hospital de Santa Maria. Unfortunately, he did not survive the injuries sustained during the attack.

Authorities from the Lisbon Metropolitan Command of the PSP (Polícia de Segurança Pública) are actively investigating the case. They have stated that they are working to determine the exact circumstances that led to this tragic event. The Polícia Judiciária (PJ) has also been contacted to assist in the investigation.

The incident has sent shockwaves through the local community, raising concerns about safety in the area. Residents and frequent visitors to the Colombo shopping center expressed their disbelief and sadness over the loss of life. Many are calling for increased security measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
