The Algarve Innovation and Technology Park (PPPITA) is an ambitious project being developed in Pechão, Olhão, with the goal of creating a hub for technological companies and fostering innovation in the region. The park will span over 48.58 hectares and will also include facilities in the areas of health, well-being, education, and research. Part of the space is reserved for residential areas associated with the companies operating within the park, as well as around 10 hectares designated for green urban spaces.

This initiative represents a collaboration between the private sector and the municipality, with the private landowners working closely with local authorities to ensure the park aligns with regional and municipal planning regulations. The plan is expected to be completed within 18 months, setting a foundation for future technological and educational advancements in the Algarve region.
