Alentejo 2030 Allocates €3M for Digitization and Modernization of Public Services

Published on

The Alentejo 2030 program has announced the allocation of €3 million to enhance the digitization and modernization of public services in the Alentejo region and Lezíria do Tejo. This initiative aims to improve accessibility, efficiency, and security for citizens and businesses alike.

The Alentejo 2030 program has opened applications for two competitive notices aimed at accelerating the digitization and modernization of public services. The funding is part of the Integrated Territorial Instruments of the Intermunicipal Communities (ITI CIM) and is designed to provide strategic opportunities for local governments.

The €3 million funding is divided into two main streams, one which is open for applications until June 30, 2025, and is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) at a rate of 85%.

The other, the Digital Modernization of Freguesias is specifically aimed at specific regions in the Alentejo, which are Alto Alentejo, Alentejo Litoral, Baixo Alentejo, Alentejo Central and Lezíria do Tejo.

The CCDR (Commission for Coordination and Regional Development) of Alentejo emphasizes that these funding opportunities are crucial for improving the quality of public services. By enhancing digital capabilities, municipalities can better serve their communities, ensuring that citizens and businesses have access to efficient and secure services.
