Port Wine Fest 2024: Celebrating Portuguese Wines in Las Vegas, Chicago, and New York in October

The Port Wine Fest is set to make a grand return to the U.S. in October 2024, celebrating the rich heritage of Portuguese wines and gastronomy. This vibrant festival will take place in Las Vegas, Chicago, and New York, featuring over 40 renowned Portuguese wine producers and a series of exclusive events designed to immerse attendees in the flavors and culture of Portugal.

The Port Wine Fest, organized by the Port Wine Shippers Association (AEVP), aims to introduce U.S. consumers to the diverse world of Portuguese wines. Following a successful debut in Colorado and California earlier this year, the festival is poised to captivate wine enthusiasts across three major cities.

Isabel Marrana, executive director of AEVP, expressed excitement about the upcoming events, stating, “We are excited to return to the United States this October, following the incredible success of our events in April. It’s an honor to showcase the rich diversity and heritage of Portuguese wines to a growing and enthusiastic audience.”

The Three Events

  • Las Vegas: Kicking off on October 12, the festival will be part of the USA Today Wine & Food Experience. Attendees can expect a unique space dedicated to Portuguese wines, offering regionally-inspired wines and culinary delights.
  • Chicago: On October 14, the festival will host its first proprietary event at The Walden Chicago. This immersive experience will feature:
  • New York: The festivities will conclude on October 16 with a grand event that includes an exclusive induction ceremony for new members of the Confraria do Vinho do Porto (Port Wine Brotherhood). Highlights include:

This week-long celebration promises to transport attendees through Portugal’s finest wines and cultural offerings, making it a must-attend event for wine lovers and industry professionals alike.
