APENO Launches Wine Tourism TV to Enhance Global Reach of Portuguese Wine Tourism

Published on

The Portuguese wine tourism sector has taken a significant leap forward with the launch of Wine Tourism TV, an online channel dedicated to promoting the richness and diversity of enotourism in Portugal. Officially unveiled on October 18 at the Vila Galé Collection Palácio dos Arcos, this initiative by the Portuguese Wine Tourism Association (APENO) aims to attract international visitors and position Portugal as a premier destination for wine enthusiasts.

Wine Tourism TV is the first channel globally dedicated solely to wine tourism, reflecting APENO’s strategy for internationalization. The platform is designed to communicate creatively and educationally about Portugal’s wine tourism offerings, showcasing the country’s exceptional wines and hospitality.

Maria João de Almeida, president of APENO, emphasized the importance of this initiative, stating, “We want to show that Portuguese wine tourism is among the best in the world. Besides the quality of our wines, the Portuguese excel in the art of hospitality.”

The launch of Wine Tourism TV addresses a significant gap in communication dedicated to wine tourism, both in Portugal and abroad. The platform aims to combat tourism seasonality by promoting year-round activities and events, thereby attracting a younger demographic.
