Portuguese artists and bands have an exciting opportunity to showcase their talent at BIME Bilbao 2024. The event, organized in collaboration with the Portuguese Embassy in Spain and WhyPortugal, is calling for two solo artists or bands from Portugal to participate in this prestigious music industry event.

Event Details

BIME Bilbao 2024 will take place from October 29 to November 1, 2024, in Bilbao, Spain. This event is a significant platform for artists to present their work to festival programmers, managers, journalists, and other music industry professionals. The selected Portuguese artists or bands will have the chance to perform one showcase each, with BIME covering the production costs, including the venue, basic lighting and sound equipment, PA system, technical staff, and basic backline.

Application Process

The open call is available from June 27 at 16:00 CET to July 11 at 23:59 CET. Interested artists and bands must meet the following criteria:

  1. Be residents of Portugal.
  2. Be of legal age.
  3. Submit their application via the open call form.

The selection process will be conducted by BIME, with the Portuguese Embassy in Spain and WhyPortugal supporting the promotion of the events once the selected participants are confirmed. The results will be communicated to all applicants via email.

Benefits for Selected Artists

In addition to the showcase opportunity, the selected artists or bands will receive accreditations that grant access to the professional event program and dinner/catering on the night of the showcase. This is a unique chance to learn, network, and discover the latest trends in the music industry.

Responsibilities of Selected Artists

Selected artists or bands are required to attend the event and cover their travel and accommodation expenses not covered by the organization. It is important to note that BIME will not pay any fees to the artists for their participation.
