Ricky Gervais’ Show in Portugal Sells Out in Record Time

Ricky Gervais, the renowned British comedian, is set to perform his latest stand-up show, “Mortality,” in Lisbon on February 27, 2025. The tickets for this highly anticipated event sold out in just one hour after their release, showcasing the comedian’s immense popularity.

Gervais announced the dates for his new show on October 6, 2024, and the ticket sales began with a pre-sale for MEO customers. The general public had access to tickets on October 11, 2024, but they were quickly snapped up, with many fans expressing their disappointment at not being able to secure a seat.

The ticket prices varied, with the cheapest starting at €45 for the upper balcony and going up to €90 for VIP seating in the front rows. The demand was so high that the VIP tickets sold out even before the general sale began.

This is not Gervais’ first time performing in Portugal. He previously entertained audiences at the same venue on October 28, 2023, with his show “Armageddon.” His return to Lisbon has been highly anticipated, and the rapid sell-out of tickets for “Mortality” is a testament to his enduring appeal.
