Little Caesars Pizza Launches First Stores in Portugal

Little Caesars Pizza expands its global reach by inaugurating its first outlet in Barreiro, Portugal, marking a significant step in its European expansion strategy.

Little Caesars Pizza, the third-largest pizza chain globally, has inaugurated its first stores in Portugal, marking a significant milestone in its European and global expansion strategy. The first store opened in Barreiro on February 6, with additional locations planned for central Lisbon in the coming months.

A New Chapter in Portugal

Little Caesars Pizza, renowned for its HOT-N-READY® model, is making its debut in Portugal. The brand’s first store in Barreiro opened on February 6, and two more stores are set to open in central Lisbon soon. Paula Vissing, Chief Operating Officer for Little Caesars Pizza, expressed excitement about bringing the brand’s value, quality, and convenience to Portugal. She emphasized that Portugal is a key market for the brand’s European expansion, which includes recent openings in Spain and the United Kingdom.

The HOT-N-READY® Model

Nearly 20 years ago, Little Caesars revolutionized the pizza industry with its HOT-N-READY® model. This concept allows customers to walk in and pick up a freshly made, hot pizza without waiting or ordering ahead. The model has been a massive success in the United States and has spread to various international markets. The menu in Portugal will feature several HOT-N-READY® large pizzas, including Pepperoni and Margherita, starting at just €5.50. Other offerings include the 4 Cheese Deluxe, Pepperoni Special, and Tuna Delight. The menu also features Pepperoni Crazy Puffs and Little Caesars’ signature Crazy Bread®.

European and Global Expansion

Little Caesars has been amplifying its international presence over the past few years. The brand recently entered the U.K. market and opened three new stores in Spain, including a flagship location in Madrid. The company has ambitious plans to continue expanding throughout Europe, focusing on the U.K., southern Spain, Germany, and France. Jeremy Vitaro, Chief Development Officer for Little Caesars Pizza, highlighted the growth potential in the European pizza industry, valued at over $53 billion. The company is actively seeking franchisees interested in area developer agreements in the U.K., Spain, Germany, and France.

Future Plans

Little Caesars aims to open several new stores in Portugal in the coming years. The brand is committed to providing high-quality, affordable pizzas made with fresh, natural ingredients. As the company continues to grow, it remains focused on delivering value, quality, and convenience to its customers worldwide.
