This strong financial performance makes Altice Portugal a crucial contributor to Altice International’s overall revenue, which totaled €5.143 billion.

In the fourth quarter of 2023, Altice Portugal’s revenues increased by 7.5%, reaching €747 million. The company services segment was the largest contributor, with a turnover of €393 million. This growth was fueled by the diversification of the company’s portfolio, including non-telco products and services, and the expansion of new business lines such as technology exports from Alice Labs.

Investment and CAPEX

Altice Portugal’s capital expenditure (CAPEX) for 2023 stood at €488 million, slightly above the €483 million reported for the fourth quarter. Of this total, €147 million was invested in the last three months of the year. The investments focused on strengthening the mobile network, upgrading core infrastructures, and expanding the fiber optic network in Portugal. With the near completion of 5G implementation, the company anticipates a reduction in investment for the upcoming year.

Operational Profits

Altice International reported operational profits of €554 million for 2023. However, the specific contribution from Altice Portugal was not disclosed, as the company does not release isolated results.
