It won’t be a difficult decision to make. If I feel like I’m no longer contributing anything, I’ll be the first to leave.” The 39-year-old forward holds the national records for both appearances (212) and goals (130) for Portugal.

Portugal is set to face Croatia and Scotland in their UEFA Nations League campaign. Ronaldo was called up to the squad by coach Roberto Martinez for these matches. “The motivation is to come to the national team to win the Nations League. We’ve already won it once, and we want to do it again,” Ronaldo said.
