Roobens Denis, 31, was apprehended by local authorities in Lisbon, Portugal, on Thursday. Denis had been on the run for seven months, wanted by Quebec City Police for drug trafficking offenses. Interpol had issued a red notice, a global request to locate and provisionally arrest Denis pending extradition or similar legal action.

Denis is considered the right-hand man of Dave “Pic” Turmel, the leader of the Blood Family Mafia (BFM). The BFM has been embroiled in a bloody conflict with the Hells Angels for almost a year. This gang war has led to a surge in violent crimes, prompting extensive police operations.
