The Lisbon municipal rehabilitation program “Morar Melhor” is set to advance with four new projects, totaling nearly €6.8 million in investment. Announced on September 30, 2024, by Gebalis, the public company managing municipal neighborhoods, these projects aim to enhance living conditions for residents across various neighborhoods.
Overview of the Projects
The four new projects will focus on significant rehabilitation efforts in three neighborhoods:
- Bairro Casalinho da Ajuda
- Bairro Padre Cruz
- Bairro Alta de Lisboa Sul
The “Morar Melhor” program, initiated in 2022, represents the largest investment in municipal housing since the Special Resettlement Program (PER). This initiative aims to address the pressing need for improved living conditions in Lisbon’s municipal neighborhoods, ensuring that residents have access to safe and comfortable housing.
