Portugal is set to elevate its status as a premier wine tourism destination with the launch of Wine Tourism TV, the first dedicated communication channel for national wine tourism. This initiative, spearheaded by the Portuguese Wine Tourism Association (Apeno), aims to showcase the country’s rich enotourism offerings and generate significant economic impact.

Apeno has recognized the need for a specialized platform to promote the country’s enotourism. With the launch of Wine Tourism TV on Friday teh 18th of October, they aim to fill a gap in the market, providing a comprehensive showcase of Portugal’s wine regions, vineyards, and tourism experiences.

The channel will initially be available on streaming platforms, with plans to extend its reach through partnerships with transportation companies, making it easier for tourists to access wine tourism experiences across the country.

Enotourism is not just about enjoying wine; it is a significant economic driver for Portugal. The sector is estimated to generate around €800 million, contributing to local economies and creating jobs in various sectors, including hospitality, agriculture, and transportation.
