Adega de Pegões, a renowned winery based in Montijo, Portugal, has once again made headlines by winning the prestigious Best Fortified Wine Award at the Korea Wine Challenge. This accolade was awarded for their exceptional wine, “Encostas da Arrábida Moscatel Roxo,” marking the second consecutive year that this particular wine has received such recognition in South Korea.

The Korea Wine Challenge is recognized as the largest and most prestigious wine competition held annually in South Korea. The event attracts numerous entries from around the world, making this award a significant achievement for any winery.

In addition to the Best Fortified Wine Award, Adega de Pegões showcased its versatility and quality by winning a Gold Medal for its red wine, “Adega de Pegões Grande Reserva Tinto,” and a Silver Medal for “Adega de Pegões Alicante Bouschet.” These accolades further solidify the winery’s reputation for producing high-quality wines that resonate with both local and international audiences.

The success of Adega de Pegões is not limited to South Korea. In Europe, the winery has also been recognized at the Decanter World Wine Awards, where it received 17 medals, including two prestigious gold medals.
