Queen of Fado Mariza to Perform in Spain This August

Portuguese fado singer Mariza is set to perform on August 5th at the Concert Music Festival in Chiclana de la Frontera, near Cádiz in southern Spain. This performance comes just months before the release of her new album, “Amor.”

The song, written by Gonzalo Tau, Tyoz, Riic Wolf, and João Pedro Ruela, features GSON. Mariza, originally from Mozambique, began her singing career about 25 years ago at Senhor Vinho, a fado house in Lisbon. Over the years, she has performed works by poets such as António Botto, Florbela Espanca, Alexandre O’Neill, Mário Rainho, José Luís Gordo, and Paulo Abreu Lima.
